This print features The Loopline Bridge, Possibly my favourite bridge in Dublin, it was designed by John Chaloner Smith the bridge was build between 1889 and 1891.

At the time there was a lot of objection to the bridge due to fears that it blocks the view down river to The Custom House.

“A skiff, a crumpled throwaway, Elijah is coming, rode lightly down the Liffey, under Loopline bridge, shooting the rapids where water chafed around the bridgepiers, sailing eastward past hulls and anchorchains, between the Customhouse old dock and George’s quay.— James Joyce

On the side of the The Work Shop pub you can see work by they amazing Bordalo II, his red squirrel made from old car part , bikes and other found objects.
