Why I like NFTs

My account on Rairble just for verified so I wanted to share with you my thoughts on NFTs

One reason I like NFTs is because it gives credence to digital art. This is something I had to fight for all the way through college. I can't tell you how many times I would have to defend my work when my lectures would say ‘digital art isn't ‘real art’  

NFTs have sparked what's been called the digital art renaissance much like the street art renaissance of the 90’s / 2000s when street art moved to the mainstream galleries. I think it is the biggest movement in art in over decades and possibly the biggest movement in the idea of ownership ever. 

Another reason I like NFTs is that they can be more fair to artists. When you mint an NFT you can set a certain percentage as royalty for secondary sales. So if an artwork increases in value the artist is not cut out by galleries or collectors. Of course this is not always the case with all NFTs depending on where they are minted. But I do really like this concept.
